The Buz occurrence is located on the north eastern slope of Mount Wesley in the head waters of Kinkade Creek, approximately 3 kilometres north of Cameron Lake.

The area is underlain by fine-grained granite and granodiorite of the Lower Jurassic Island Plutonic Suite intruded by basalts and related diabase dikes of the Upper Triassic Karmutsen Formation (Vancouver Group).

Locally, a number of 2 to 3 metre wide brecciated zones with evenly dispersed calcified migdules host sulphide mineralization, including chalcopyrite and pyrite.

In 1990, a program of prospecting, including four diamond drill holes, totalling 81 metres, was completed on the Buz claims by B. Buskell.
